The major telecommunications networks have ordered and encouraged all users who have obtained Ghana Cards to complete their SIM card registration before Monday, April 17.
Those who registered more than ten SIM cards have also been told to go to their nearest mobile network operator to be able to verify their SIMs on record."
This follows the National Communications Authority's (NCA) mandate to telecommunications networks to delete subscribers who still need to register after the March 31 final deadline by Monday, April 17.

A press statement issued by the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications stated that its members - AirtelTigo, MTN, and Vodafone - have made significant investments in the preparations to enable users who haven't registered their Ghana Cards at multiple locations set up across the country.
As a result, the Chamber stated that it would comply with the NCA's instruction to deactivate all impacted subscriber SIMs not registered by the said date. There wouldn't be any further notice or extension of time for subscribers.
"The networks' valued customers must not be denied access to voice, data, USSD, and mobile money services while maintaining access to emergency and other critical services.
By completing stage 2 (the biometric capture) of the registration process, subscribers with Ghana cards can avoid this problem.
